At HCS Temple of UK, weekly Poojas are performed with devotion and reverence, offering devotees an opportunity to connect with the divine. Each day is dedicated to a specific deity, with rituals, prayers, and sacred chants filling the temple with spiritual energy. Participating in these Poojas is believed to bring blessings, inner peace, and positivity.
Mondays are dedicated to Lord Shiva. The day begins with Rudra Abhishekam, a sacred ritual where offerings of water, milk, and honey are poured over the Shiva Lingam. Devotees also worship the Shivparivar, which includes Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati, Lord Ganesh, and Lord Murugan. The ceremony concludes with a heartfelt Temple Aarti, inviting peace and strength.
Tuesdays are considered auspicious for Lord Hanuman and Lord Ram. Devotees gather to chant the powerful Hanuman Chalisa, seeking protection and courage. The temple also hosts the Ramdarbar Pooja to honor Lord Ram, Sita, Lakshman, and Hanuman, followed by the divine Temple Aarti.
Wednesdays are dedicated to Lord Krishna. The day features a serene Sri Krishna Pooja and a reading of 5 Bhagavad-Gita Slokas. Devotees also chant the beautiful Madhura Ashtakam in praise of Lord Krishna’s divine form. The powerful Vishnu Sahasranamam is recited, followed by the evening Temple Aarti, bringing a sense of calm and devotion.
On Thursdays, devotees offer prayers to Lord Ayyappa and participate in a soulful Ayyappa Swamy Pooja. The temple resonates with the uplifting melodies of Shirdi Sai Bhajans, honoring Sai Baba. The day concludes with a serene Temple Aarti, spreading blessings and positivity.
Fridays are dedicated to Goddess Durga, also revered as Mathaji. Devotees gather for the Mathaji Pooja and the Kumkum Archana, a symbolic offering of vermillion. The chanting of Lalitha Sahasranamam, a thousand names of the goddess, fills the temple with divine energy. The day ends with the Temple Aarti, seeking blessings of strength and wisdom.
Saturdays are marked by the worship of Sri Venkateswara Swamy (Balaji). Devotees participate in an elaborate Abhishekam, offering sacred items like milk and sandalwood to the deity. The chanting of Govinda Namas and the recitation of Venkateswara Stotram create a spiritually enriching atmosphere. The day concludes with the divine Temple Aarti.
Sundays are reserved for Sponsored Poojas, Festival Poojas, or special ceremonies organized at the temple. If no festival is scheduled, the Temple Priest may decide the appropriate Pooja for the day. Devotees often take this opportunity to offer prayers for personal milestones or family well-being.
